What can I say? It’s been quite the journey me. I’ll start by saying, “I am one and done” I passed on my first try because I was given the tools to do so. Ms. Tamez is phenomenal and I say this from the heart. She was absolutely amazing. Her wisdom, her Knowledge, and even her understanding and patience level with me is unmatched. I chose the absolute perfect shift. Sunday through Wednesday 7am-5:30pm. That woman stayed on my tail to make sure I could offset and I’m so very grateful for her in its entirety. Mr. Gilbert is amazing as well. His knowledge and patience in being able to teach individuals with or without experience to operate a manual transmission is beyond this world. He such a great individual that I look at him as the Pappa Bear on the yard. He will get you right if you come with the right mind set. Mr. Robert is part of the younger generation where he can relate on levels where there may be a generational gap. He is the reason I got my pre trip down by day 3. His patience and virtue is outstanding and I’m so very grateful for him as well. Last, but definitely not least we have Mr. Tim. I just love his teachings and how calm and cool he is. He has the energy to make one relax because he’s always so relaxed and calm. I got my parallel down due to Mr. Tim’s teachings. Mr. Tim is full of knowledge about driving these trucks that now I’m looking for a Coronada. These four instructors are by far the best that 160 Driving Academy has to offer. If you’re a student at life then this place will be a breeze to you. Understand, you will not be 100% of yourself everyday but you can give your very best everyday. I’m grateful to say the least and one I plan to come back and become an instructor so that I too can make a difference in the lives of many of who are seeking to change their lives financially. God bless these four individuals because they are God sent. I’ll forever keep them in my hearts and prayers for the way they blessed me. The knowledge that was given to me is something that I can use for the rest of my career as a Class A CDL Driver! I came in with the heart and passion and they saw that and took me under their wings and flew today! I showed up and God showed out! That’s the God honest truth. One and done! I am one and done because of these four people. They gave me the tools to success and I had it in my mind that I would NOT disappoint myself and I would NOT allow all of their hard work to be in vain. 160 Driving Academy Houston Location Oates Rd is where you want to be! Mrs. B and her team of instructors at the 99 oats yard where very patient and helpful at every stage of the 160hrs. They will not give up on you as long as you put the work in. Pre trip can seem intimidating when you get the packet but just know when you get to week three on the yard you will be flying through it . study study study! also for manuals If you are at 99 oats in Houston and you get Bryan you are in good hands.
Overall started out bad high turnover rate in instructors. Ms.TC stepped in and turn things around and made the impossible possible. We learned pretrip and all maneuvers within 2 weeks and was test ready. Thanks to Ms. TC and her crew Mr. Gilbert and Mr. Tim. I really appreciate them for taking the time out and really putting effort into us.
To be honest there aren't enought stars to rate the 99 and Oats location I do not have enought words to express how the instructors put in their all and helped me build the confidence to be ready for today. I want to thank Ms. Brenda, Bryan, James, Mr. Green, Mr. Tim, Mr. Gilbert, Ms. TC and Robert and the rest of the other instructors who's name I probably forgot for just being patient with me and allowing me to ask the 1000s questions I asked and well for making this one of my greatest investments that I have ever made. All I can say to others who may be in the process or thinking of obtaining there CDL with 160 Driving Academy, don't think twice go ahead and jump on the opportunity trust me there will be no regrets. This the best school to go to if you don’t know none about trucks jimmy,Jeremy And Tim are good instructors on night classes schedule best person to learn from if you don’t know anything about trucks And Dan was a cool and relaxing person to be around as an examiner this is a very good school to go to out of every school I looked in to
The one I want to thank as the instructors that help me pass and was patient with me Jimmy Jeremy and Tim all three work night class as Instructor is very patient and experienced willing to go above and beyond to help you pass I did a one and pass due to so much help from them very honest and willing to go above and beyond my examiner was Mr. Dan when I first met him he seemed nice and understanding he explain the rules very well he was very understanding nice patient and calm he made it more easier for me to drive and feel comfortable this is the best school to go to if you do not know anything about trucking I’ve been looking around for schools and this is the only best school I have seen I’m so Grateful of the school and everything they have done
Instructor Jimmy,Jeremy and night manager Tim, Enjoyed the classes and was able to excell at my own pace, instruction was available when i needed it no problem just ask.learned a lot about the trucks and trailers hands on. Driving was a breeze for me and the instructors made sure that you had driving on the road time.yard time was pre trip and skills driving. Overall the month was an 8 out of 10 for me getting my cdl a,with no restrictions include endorsements like tanker,triples and doubles,hazmat and Twic card. One and done with the. I would like to thank all of my instructors that took their time to teach me what I needed to obtain my CDL. I’m very amazed of how they are able to manage all students at once and provide the training needed to be successful. I would highly recommend this training program for individuals that are seeking to get obtain their CDL. Once again thank you all and keep up the good work!!
Just graduated from 160 Drive "One and Done" I don't regret about going to this school I Highly recommend it. Very informative from start to finish. From signing up to getting my certificate. They all work with you they understand that not everyone learns at the same paste, so they will work with you and will lead you Thru. I will like to give a big shout out to all the instructors from 160 drive from the office Ms. BIANCA and Haley and on the yard Mr".Green, Brian, Jerry, Q and Ms. BRENDA and Ms TC. I really appreciate them getting me Thru. NOW I'm ready to start my new career in the Trucking industry. 🙏🚍
