Without any reservations or successful contradictions; if you want to get the BEST truck driving training out there, 160 is the ONLY way to go (in my honest opinion)! The instructors are phenomenal! Each one has his or her unique approaches on how to teach, highlighting very important need-to-knows for the industry. "Big Country" is very positive and encouraging, while "Misspelled Mike" is a walking animation, full of drive (no pun intended)! "Marky Mark" emphasizes the need to be ready, at any moment, to make the best choices when behind the wheel. Richard is a personable instructor. He can talk with and teach ANYONE, regardless of one's level of understanding. Steve is a very seasoned-savvy, knowledgeable, accurate and precise supervisor, making sure everything goes as it should. He is excellent in proving that, in some cases, there's more than one way to "skin a cat." The entire team works WITH YOU AND EACH OTHER! The respect that was shown to me was unlike any other. I walked in feeling like, "Uh-oh! I'm not the truck-driving type! Why am I here?!" When I completed the course, I KNEW I made the right and best choice - ALL doubts and fears disappeared! #160
My husband and I always thought about team driving over the road. I took the leap in February looking for a school and understanding what it was going to take, from school fee’s and class time. I spoke to Cody, he very professional and kept in contact with me until I was ready. He was very clear on everything and explained what was going to be expected of me. (Thank you Cody). I spent one week in class, was not my favorite part of the experience but it was valuable. Then, things start to become real when you start to train in the yard with your instructor. I respect most of the instructors there. They want the best for you. Steve is In charge of all that happens in the truck training yard and he is incredible for the heart he puts forth every day for his instructors, trucks and students. Then there is Dell, the instructor that makes things happen. Dell juggles students every day and don’t miss a beat. Ever student that he trains walks away with the experience that they came for. He makes it clear that he is there to train you to be the best truck driver you can be. Through my time there, I witnessed his success with his students. In April 2023 I become one of those successful students and I want to thank everyone at 160 for making a difference.
Dennis is the best instructor or at least for me. Never looses his temper, helpful never gets excited. I made a real friend. Finished and graduated on schedule past all tests. All the instructors are knowledgeable and teach you what you need to know in a timely manner. If you trust the process you will pass easily. Great experience, great people and I highly recommend them if you want to make trucking a career. Thanks 160 guys you are all awesome!!!!!!!
I went in knowing nothing about driving a truck from the time I signed up they made me feel confident that I will learn everything I needed to. They was patient with me, answer every question I had showed me everything that I needed to know. When I went to take my test I was confident in my abilities to take the test and I passed on my 1st time. Thanks to all the instructors they changed my life forever.

He is very calm, patient, intelligent and willing to go out of his way to help anyone succeed. No matter your background, Mr. Michael Cox will Make sure that you understand everything. The 160 Driving Academy in Oklahoma City instructional design is entirely effective to pass the written and driving exam. For the written exam, the preparation and study resources provided through the 160 Driving Academy’s on-line learning platform are current with the state examination with a multitude of practice exams. Their driving preparation materials provide detailed instructions for proper maneuvers and corrective steps to compensate for common maneuver errors. In the practice yard, the instructors safely instill the procedures required for success as a truck operator. Truck specialist trainers (automatic or manual transmission) - Steve (yard manager), Mike(s), Dell, Russel, George, and others that I didn’t work with but witnessed go beyond their time at the school. They show up and support their students during testing (some even on their day off!), they celebrate student victories when they pass, and they make themselves available to assist with additional training when needed. An evaluation of the cost-of-education and time investment versus expected income post-completion reveals that the return of investment for the 160 Driving Academy is a sound investment for a near-term certification and a life-long resource for a high-salary career. I went in like Simba came out like Mufasa . The process from start to finish was just like they said not much to it , you’re in an out before you know it with a good Skill thought by people who care del, Steve , mike, Rick , an yes George too. Good group of trainers if you’re willing to take direction.
160 trucking driving specifically the Oklahoma City one is an amazing school. I am glad I was apart of the environment because they prep you for success & anything an examiner can throw at you. Great staff they led me to passing everything on my first try as long as you TRUST THE PROCESS. -TyReek
