Overcoming adversity
It’s stressful training for your CDL. With so much on the line for many students, a pass or fail determines the trajectory of a lucrative career. Add a pandemic to the mix and all the obstacles that come with it, like trainer shortages and missed class from positive cases and anxiety can run high. To top all that off with 160 adding a new branch to the Salt Lake area and well, let’s say as a new student there were moments I felt hopeless and desperate. During my training our branch suffered equipment issues and shortages, employee turnover, meaning we had several different instructors during our yard training, and at times too many students. Looking back , now that I have my CDL and all the stress is gone, I have a moment to reflect. The staff at 160 never gave up on their promise to get me my CDL. They got things done in a positive and professional manner as quickly as possible. The branch manager Diego is the man. I gave him a hard time over circumstances that we’re out of his control but he reassured me that everything was going to be ok. I’m proud of my accomplishment and I owe a debt of gratitude to 160 Trucking Academy! Special thanks to Diego, Randy, Darren and Dane for all your support and dedication to all your students.
My experience at 160.
Ms. Lori on the virtual learning was awesome! She handled the class professionally and took the time to answer any questions her students had. Once to the yard in Cincinnatiwe had several instructors I would like to give a few a big thanks for taking their job seriously, especially Jim. Jim would be all over that yard making sure that every student would have what they needed to be successful in passing.

Thank you 160 Driving Academy for helping to reach one of my goals you guys are the best. If anyone out there wants to get a CDL I recommend 160 Driving Academy South Shore.
Never give up
My experience was great. I’ve doubted myself at times but the instructors will teach you everything you need to get your CDL. Keep with it everything starts to get easier and before you know it your on the road making a better future for yourself. Recently got my CDL and a new career a week later..160 is a fun and challenging school that will show you what you need to succeed.
Great help
The experience was hampered by the state shutting down but the instructors and personnel made it all worth while. The people you meet along the way is also great. Overall a great place and helpful people along every step of the way.

Man it was very insightful patient fun the atmosphere is positive and the instructors have high energy and want what’s best for you and will do anything to make sure you pass this CDL test and be successful in your career the wisdom they give especially jerry the lead man of the yard he is always being positive and is full of knowledge my instructor Bryan (B) he is one of the best of not the best because I’ve witnessed him handle certain situations with patience even when we want to quit or trip he wants us to be just like him passing this CDL test I appreciate him on so many levels 160 academy you guys found a gem in this young old man Bryan and anyone taught by him I know they passing their CDL and if not it’s because they didn’t do what he say or showed or did their own thing thank you guys again this is a proud moment for me and my family and the 160 team
It was definitely an experience
Man from day one it was all hands on with me.. Darnell and Derrick ,and Geo led me to greatness. I passed my test on the first try... I love these guys so much because they believed in me and didn't let me give up when I was frustrated... I love them
Best Trucking School
My dad chose this driving school based on reviews and passes percentage ratings, am so glad he did, this driving school is equipped with all the necessary tools/instructors to get your driving career started, the training was so easy and exceeded expectations, on behalf of myself and my brother Demari Lynch who passed same day I did, we said thanks to the very talented, hardworking instructors at 160 Trucking School, and a very special thank you the Branch Manager who played a very important part to get us started and being successful.
