160 driving academy

I had a wonderful time with 160, everyone is so supporting and anything you need they will help you! Thank you 160

Awesome school

Coming from the social worker field I wasn’t sure that I would be able to complete this course. Passing the CDL test at the BMV was a piece of cake. Once I got to the yard and saw the trucks I must admit my anxiety set in..lol From day one Cindy the Team Lead/instructor told me that I could do it! The pre-trip seemed to be Overwhelming, the backup maneuvers I couldn’t grasps and over the road freaked me out! The second week things began to connect! Pat one of the instructors worked with me day and night on how to get the right set up and how to correct my mistakes. He stayed after school with me sometimes to ensure my Comfortability with backing up. Bill one of the on- -the-road instructors seem to be very patient with me. He would tell me all the time “you are a safe driver” which encouraged me to keep going. During my testing time the examiner helped me to relax and told me to just do my best! I am now a CDL Professional driver with my Class A licenses!! First time testing, I passed!! One and done!! Cindy I want you to know that you are the sweetest person I know! Thank you so much for never giving up on me! All we me in the world are more instructors like you!! To any and everyone that is thinking about pursing a career in truck driving and you are in the Indianapolis area please check out 160 drive academy. Ask for Cindy! She is freaking awesome!!

fantastic experience

the classroom week was a bit dry but Renee Rau worked at making it interesting for everyone. The yard was a blast. Drew and Jordan were fantastic instructors and very motivational. I will be recommending 160 to anyone that wants to get a CDL.

Excellent school for those who want to learn hands-on. Their goal is to get you your CDL.

More than expected

I came to 160 not knowing a single thing about trucking. Galinda was very helpful with getting me set up with the class and was always available for questions. Dave the instructor for the class was very thorough with the information needed to obtain your cdl permit. Once in the yard Denise was very outgoing and was relaxed enough to make it easier to learn but still strict enough to make sure you are doing everything the proper way. If you show the effort to learn you will pass this course. Thank You 160 for teaching me to obtain my cdl and teaching me HOW to DRIVE!!

Awesome Training

160 driving academy has the best training and instuctors hands down. I would recommend to any person whos trying to get a CDL go there. I was the best experience in my life and im glad i had the chance to go there. I learned alot and more then enough safety and all. the springfield MO location is one of the best if you ask me, thanks to Jory, Jeremy and Steve , these are great people thanks>.

Minneapolis location , best

Best school in the town, instructors cares a lot and will do every in their power to help you succeed. I was part time student and graduated in 7 weeks. Passed my exam in first attempt. branch manager prierriss is very friendly and a problem solver, so if you ever have issue he is their to help you out.

Great School

I want to say that I had a great time with 160 Driving Academy. Starting with the first week of online training in the Chicago Heights Location, it was smooth, no complains, the front desk lady was always helpful. After passing my Permit test and moving onto the South Holland Yard for training, every instructor in there knows what they are doing and help you understand what you are learning. A great shoutout to Greg, Shamika, Tim, Antonio, and the rest of the instructors at the South Holland Yard. The reason why I gave it a 4 stars is because of the amount of students that are in that specific yard. This is no fault to the South Holland Yard but more for the people above them. When I came in I asked what the instructor to student ratio was and I was told 1 instructor to 4 students. The first day at the yard it was 1 instructor to 11 students. We would stand and wait for 2 hours just to drive for 10 minutes in the straight back. As of today I did notice that there are new instructors and they will be opening a Lansing Yard to help ease the amount of students that go to the South Holland Yard for training. This is good for the instructors on the South Holland yard because it will mean smaller groups per each instructor. Perhaps 160 Corporate did see that South holland was overloaded of students which is good, but my experience was rated a 4 star due to what I went through in the 1 month that I was there .

This schools is hands down the best!!

i loved it!!!!!!
