Great School
I came to 160 Driving Academy to switch my career path with no experience or knowledge of trucks. From the very beginning, Sam clearly explained how the school worked and walked me through all the enrollment options available to me, which made the decision easy. The transition from classroom to the yard training was well instructed and was easy to locate. Arturo and his instructors are very nice and understanding, they make sure you get the training you need to pass your exam at the dmv. Thanks to the instruction I received, I passed my CDL exam on the first attempt. I went from knowing nothing about trucks to understanding how they operate and making myself feeling confident driving one. I highly recommend 160 Driving Academy to anyone looking to start a career in trucking.

CDL Refresher
I enjoyed my experience with the staff and the other students at 160 Driving Academy. Instructor Allen is amazing and a fountain of knowledge. I appreciate all of the instructors for being supportive and honest. Mrs. Sherry, the Business Development Specialist(Office Manager) was a delight. Her assistance with signing up for training was very smooth and welcoming. A true representative of the 160 brand. I will sing the praises of the Charleston branch to every aspiring truck driver who I meet.

I took in person classes at the Syracuse location ALL instructors were knowledgeable they all have their own unique spin on things which is helpful as what works for one may not work for the other! They did a great job mixing groups up with newer vs more experienced students so you can learn from your peers as well. They were great about letting you come in to practice before your road test as well. I am also taking hazmat class threw 160 and just want to point out that here in NY the process is a little different then outlined in the email.. I signed up online threw the email for tsa screening and was told when I got to my apt that I was signed up for the federal testing not the New York State testing and had to reschedule and the cost is 171 not 86. Not 160 fault just a heads up for anyone else in NY otherwise check out 160 they’re great for learning to drive and the instructors in Syracuse all drove before and have for 20+ years so they know what it’s like not just talking at you!! Thank You to the Syracuse team!!
