Great Experience
I was in and out within 5 weeks. I had fun learning everything I needed to earn my CDL. The staff was all around awesome, and want to see you succeed. They will help you in any way they can- just put in the work and stay focused! I highly recommend this school.

From 160 academy in New Britain ct I want to call out my man's , Country helping with pre-trip , Victor for been you be nice lol , Rey . field lead instructor my man always positive through the hole course . Maria I appreciate your help with the air brake test and pre-trip . Now Joseph Bryant AKA EL Dón . Joe Thank you for the motivation for teaching every student and me to have dignity , character , respect and diversity. Also for teaching me the Astric technique. if you don't know what Astric technique is , come on down and learn with Aka El Dón Joe what astric technique is . Mad love to my instructors.
Experience, Guts, Brains, and Patience of Steal
As a 47 year mother of 5 and wife of a seasoned truck driver, my time at the Lexington, Kentucky 160 Driving Academy was nothing short of amazing and incredible. I went from an intimidated 4 wheeler driver with no stick shift driving experience to capable manual 10 speed driver. But most importantly I am a confident truck driver. I do not know how other trucking schools teach their student drivers, but 160 Driving Academy methods leave little if any room for failure. Especially at the Lexington, Kentucky location. The group of instructors there have a combined experience of nearly 100 years. And, they each have many ways to teach concepts and techniques that give the student just about every opportunity to learn quickly and efficiently. The group of instructors at the Lexington location in particular, have heart and incredible patience in their genuine desire to get their students proficient and confident CDL holders. They will even work with a student who gets hung up on a particular concept until that student gets it. Their confidence is contagious and inspiring, and no matter what kind of day you're having, they always have encouraging words and smiles. They can lighten up even the hardest of days. I will never forget my experience with those guys and the 160 Driving Academy and all that they taught me as I head into my new driving future. With a 100% student CDL passing record, I don't believe there is a better trucking school out there. Just watch out for those skills course cones!

From the beginning,starting with Julie,the training program was successful in getting my class a cdl. All the yard instructors were focused on getting me the knowledge and hands on training to accomplish my goal. As a participant of 160 driving academy in St. Louis Missouri I can honestly say that the instructors had countless years of experience in the profession to tool me for a path to succeed. Listen stay focused and on task and I can guarantee that you will succeed within the structure presented. With that being said I wanna personally think everybody at this location who gave me instruction and the tools I need to further myself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart I strongly suggest 160 driving academy for anyone who wants to become a bad mother trucker.

the school was great Kelly helped me out with everything i need to know. when we got to the yard, the yard was a little small but it was big enough to get everything done. Dean was always on my but on pre-trip but that help me with my test. John was my instructor and help me brake bad habbits with driving a manual and showed me how to shift the truck drive the truck and helped me get the maneuvers down pat. he even showed me the diffrent ways to perform a 90 degree turn. the school was great
160 TDS: The REAL DEAL
160 Truck Driving School (TDS) is the 'REAL DEAL'...! The program lends itself to a well balanced mix of 'Training' and 'Practical Application'...Is the program/instruction perfect (absolutely not)...Is the program/instruction committed to its students reaching their (his/her) respective goals of becoming a safe and marketable truck driver...ABSOLUTELY (Hands Down...and with the highest standard of 'Quality' and 'Excellence')! The instructors and office/branch managers and facilitators are second to none (often on the yard HOURS before start time)...These guys/gals are seasoned in the industry (most if not all are current and/or former truck drivers)...If you're looking for a 'Cookie-Cutter' out of the box program, this is not the program for you...The 160 program at its core is structured/designed to meet you 'WHERE YOU ARE'...(Good...Bad...or Indifferent), this dynamic puts 160 on the tip of 'SPEAR' for close scrutiny and criticism. This is OK for their posture is authentic, genuine, and transparent. They believe that 'No One Learns the Same' and 'No One has the Same Life Experience'...in that they are highly skilled with exploiting/accentuating one's 'STRENGTHS' all while mitigating and teaching us (the students) how to leverage/use our weaknesses as fuel and opportunities to stretch toward our goals (i.e., a Safe and Marketable Truck Driver)...I didn't know at the onset what to expect day-one of my arrival to the school/program...There are many/diverse tiers for initial entry into the program, I chose the 160hr format (I completed the program/graduated with my Class-A CDL on time/on-schedule)...I received more than truck driver credential from the program, I received (by default), an uptick in my CHARACTER, and a richer and more refined level of AWARENESS...(key ingredients for a SAFE and EXCELLENT Truck Driver)...I want to thank the 160 TDS Team for lending to me the tools that will no doubt fuel my success as a 'MAN' and 'SAFE TRUCK DRIVER'...You are the 'Best of the Best'...I strongly recommend this program to anyone who is serious about becoming and excellent and 'SAFE TRUCK DRIVER'!
