Comprehensive Instruction at a Trusted Tempe CDL School

At 160 Driving Academy, we strive to set the bar for CDL training. We have worked hard to make our Tempe CDL school a place where students can prepare for a successful career.

How do we do this?

We believe a low teacher/student ratio is the key to helping every one of our students learn and understand the rules, operations, and more. Our goal is to go beyondpreparing students to pass the CDL exam. Wealso want you tobe prepared for any of the challenges that might come your way while you are out on the road.

All of our commercial driving classes are completed in just four weeks. Throughout that period of time you undergo:

  • 40 Hours of Classroom Instruction: Our classroom portion of the course gets you ready for the written part of your Class A CDL exam. It also gears you up for getting behind the wheel.
  • 120 Hours of Field Instruction:For the remaining three weeks, we focus on practical training so that you can get some real-life experience. This opportunity allows you to apply everything you learned from your instructor while stillhaving access to guidance when needed.
