Cleveland Trucking Class
The trucking classes at 160 Driving Academy focus on the student’s success. A low student-to-instructor ratio allows us to provide one-on-one attention to ensure that every student will gain the skills they need to earn their CDL and be a safe driver as they start their career. There are two parts of our truck driver class:
- Classroom Instruction: The CDL test includes a written portion, and our instructors make sure you’re ready to pass with flying colors. We go over everything that will be on the exam, so you can have total confidence on test day.
- Field Instruction: This is where the rubber meets the road and where you start putting what you’ve learned in the classroom into action. You’ll work closely with an instructor who will guide you in the finer points of driving a large truck. If you need a little extra time behind the wheel to make sure you’re ready, that’s no problem. We’re here to help you be successful.
When you complete the program, you’ll be ready to test for your CDL A license and to take your first job in the trucking industry. The majority of our students have the tuition for their trucking classes covered. Many trucking companies sponsor students who meet minimum requirements (21 years of age, a valid driver’s license, and no felonies, drug charges, or DUIs in the past 10 years) and then, upon graduation, those sponsored students are supported with advanced job placement assistance.
