Student Spotlight: Anthony S. – “It Was One of the Best Times of My Life”

A year on the road and countless miles later, Anthony S. still remembers his time at 160 Driving Academy in San Bernardino as one of the best experiences of his life.

Anthony didn’t take his journey lightly. He made a bold decision: to quit his job and fully commit to the program—no breaks, no interruptions. And that commitment paid off. From blazing summer heat to daily practice, Anthony embraced the challenge, learning from a team of dedicated instructors like Lori, Tracy, Daniel, Jo Jo, Tony, and Matt, who helped guide him every step of the way—including the final test at Fontana.

“It was a blazing hot summer, but probably one of the best times of my life.”

He remembers the early days vividly—nervous students, new lessons, and the excitement of pursuing something bigger. And now? He’s living it.

“I run all 48 states and earn a really good living. Opportunities are endless in this trucking business.”

Even on the road, Anthony stays connected to the energy of being a new driver. To him, that first-year feeling—like a new car smell—never gets old.

“I’d like to always keep that fresh, new, young-spirited feeling… It definitely was one of the greatest experiences of my life.”
