I just graduated from 160. As an older student ( 61 ) I felt completely comfortable with the instructors as well as the other students. I learned something from each of the instructors and appreciated their efforts to prepare me for my state CDL exam. While all of the instructors were excellent I feel I need to single out instructor Pete ( sorry but I never got his last name). While at first I felt he was being too hard on me I quickly learned that he wasn’t trying to tear me down he was pushing me to be better. He wanted me to understand the correct way to handle a tractor and trailer and get me good enough to pass my state exam on my first attempt, which he did. I’m grateful for my time at 160 and very appreciative of Pete’s efforts to make me a better driver. I also want to mention Ralph and Mike for their efforts to help me better understand what was going on with the equipment I was trying to drive. Lastly I need to mention the relationships that I built with the other students at the yard. Everyone was supportive of each other and genuinely happy when a fellow student passed his or her state exam. If your interested in a CDL I could not recommend 160 driving academy enough.
