I started 160 Driving Academy thanks to losing my job due to COVID-19. After my first week in class and obtaining my permit I went to the yard to meet my instructors. Derek and Darnell were great at explaining things and walking you through how things should be done. They make you feel comfortable when you get behind the wheel. The first time we hit the road I was nervous but they made sure I stayed on track mentally to keep the truck operating safely. As the weeks went on I honed in my skills and was ready for my actual test. When that time came I couldn’t stop pacing waiting for my time to test. Derek and Darnell sat back and chuckled asking me what I was so worried about. They knew I was more than ready to test and be on my way. They pulled me aside and calmed me down. And I passed on my first try! I went back to the yard to thank them for everything. I’m glad I chose 160 as my driving school because after graduating they will help with job placement.
