Overall the experience was good, they were significantly cheaper than other options around me, and I got my CDL. I will say there was a lack of communication from Tony, their recruiter. They also did not make the overall pathway from start to finish clear. I wasn't informed that I needed to come into the Eugene office for my drug test, until the day of when I was at work and had to leave in the middle of the afternoon to take it. I wish there had been a heads up about that, or the possibility of scheduling it. Other than that Tony was helpful and pleasant to work with. I didn't have much interaction with him, I did my online portion on my own instead of spending a week in the classroom. When you get to the yard portion, you'll meet the Tim's. Instructor Tim Chambers(Little Tim), and lead instructor Tim Mcdonald(Big Tim). Tim Mcdonald, he definitely embodies his rock and roll background, he can be abrasive, loud, and intimidating at times. He genuinely cares about his students, but he coaches by telling you what to do, instead of coaching you how to do it. With that being said I did learn a lot from him, and I did appreciate how he cares about his students, and he is very proud of his pass rate for testing. The Eugene location has maybe one student a month that doesn't pass their test on the first try. This is because they will not submit you to test if you are not ready. Tim Chambers, he is quieter, more soft spoken, and takes more of a coaching approach. He was a phenomenal instructor for me, impart due to coaching works better for me than telling me what to do and expecting me to know how to do it. He also cares very much about the students, he wants to see you succeed, and he does his best to get the students there. My overall experience was good, nowhere you go is gonna be perfect. This was the right school for me, they were about $4500, when the surrounding schools were about $6200. They made it clear they cared about me, and every other student, and they helped me get my CDL. I would recommend this school, and the best advice I can give future students would be to ask questions, listen to what they say, take the best from both instructors, and realize you'll get out what you put into your schooling.
