Shout out to Rick, Kevin and Scotty from the Saint Paul Park yard

The experience of CDL training was not what I initially expected. There was more "self study" than "hands on" training, but I later realized that talking with other students about what we were learning from the instructors actually helped in memorizing what we were being taught. The instructors each have their own quirks or mannerisms in how they teach, which does occasionally rub some students the wrong way but they need to remember that the instructors are their to teach them, not baby them. I mean, they taught an introverted guy (who deals with ADD and occasional bouts of anxiety) well enough to pass the driving exam on the first attempt, so that's gotta be saying something!

One and Done Club

Last week I joined the "One and Done" club thanks to 160 Driving Academy of Minneapolis. I want to personally thank Trent, classroom Instructor Josh M and yard Instructors Rick, Scott & Kevin for their guidance and helping me build confidence to obtain my Class A CDL.

Great experience

I would like to thank Trent, Rick, Kevin, and Scotty for the great learning experience and guidance. They were supportive and answered any questions and misconceptions I had and helped me practice and feel prepared. I appreciate and would recommend 160 Driving Academy to anyone looking to earn their CDL license.

Great School!!!

I highly recommend 160 driving Academy. I passed my exam on the first try. The instructors are wonderful!!! Scott!!!! Great guy!!! He is a very patient instructor and very humble!! No matter how much you screw up, he wouldn't get mad at you, but will rather continue to work with you until you get it. No matter how much of a slow learner you are, he got you!!! He's awesome and has a soft heart!! Kelvin!!!!! He's wonderful!! He's a father figure to everyone!! He's loved by all the students. When he's absent for a day, everyone misses him. He's friendly, caring and very helpful and helps you feel relaxed while out on the road. He takes his time to train you very well. If you have a problem with Kelvin, then you are something else!!! He's a great old man. You will love him. Rick!!! Great guy but very straight!! He's very tough and at the same time very friendly and wants the best for you. I have heard students complain about him being tough, but from what I understand, his goal is to make you as strong as possible. He wants you to easily pass your CDL exam and become one of the best truck drivers out there. He emphasizes on safety. He's a great supervisor!!! Emma is a great manager!!! She helps you through the process and communicates with you on a regular basis to keep you updated every step of the way during your training. She does her best to have you scheduled for your CDL exam as quickly as she can. She's on top of things and can be counted upon. This great team helped me with my new career in the trucking industry. I had a great experience with them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to them. They are awesome!!!!

My experience as a student of 160 driving academy

It wasn't a cake walk especially at 52 learning a new trade... but from the beginning of signing up to the class room and the yard were you learn how to pretrip and drive the team at 160 simplify it... so I want to thank Emma,Rick, Kevin, Scott , and Mark for helping me start a new career.... I would recommend that you use this company to start your new career.....

Great instructors

Great communication with all the instructors. They really help you understand if you are struggling, if you put forth the effort they see that and really work with you. All the instructors were very helpful with making sure you know and understand all the information and excellent job with helping you perform the tasks to get you cdl ready.

Awesome team

Had a great time with 160..it was a great Experience in the class and on the yard,the whole team is awesome from Emma to Rick LEARNED ALOT!!!! A+ 5 star rating!!!
