My experience at Palos Hills with my BDM Julie mensching couldn’t have been better. After my 40hrs. Of class time she checked up on me constantly to see how my time on the yard was going and if there was anything that I needed that she could help me with. I really feel like she cared about not only my success while in class but in life in general. I recommend Palos for anyone who want to get their CDL they really are doing it the right way. Thanks Julie, you really are a trooper
I had a great experience at 160 Driving Academy while getting my CDL. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and truly dedicated to helping students succeed. They made sure I was well-prepared not just to pass the test, but to feel confident and safe on the road. The hands-on training was excellent, and the staff was supportive throughout the whole process. I highly recommend 160 Driving School to anyone looking to start a career in trucking. Thanks for helping me take this important step!
When you first start enrolling into the program they make sure you know where you getting into super nice teachers the way they teach is just amazing and always making sure you are understanding everything
The staff at 160 Are knowledgeable, professional, and very experienced. Adding these factors with a genuine desire to teach trucking made this a great experience. Give Julie a call at Palos, her expertise and tenacity puts this program above all the others
I had an amazing experience at 160, it was quick and easy. They make sure to provide the students with everything needed to pass the exams both training and materials. Took their time to answer questions to make sure the material and tasks were understood. Would definitely recommend!
...Nothing's ever gonna keep you down. I was sold when I had my entrance interview. That energy continued throughout the classroom week until the day I graduated. I was well prepared for the permit test and the pretrip, skills and driving test at the end. If anyone asks I'm recommending 160 Driving Academy.
Dear 160 CDL Driving Academy, I would like to acknowledge the 160 Driving Academy (Palos Hills, IL) / 160 CDL-Training Yard (Harvey, IL) branches, for their impeccable strategy, training techniques and unwavering diligence of standing by everyone of their students who go through their courses. As a recent graduate of the 160 Driving Academy and recipient of the “One and Done” Club Award, an extinguished honor, for not having to redo any portion of the test and passing it on the first attempt. I surprised myself, and couldn't believe how well I did on testing day. Having no prior CDL training and suffering from test anxieties for as long as I can remember. I'm proud to say it was not luck, but the acquired skills that got me through it. I was like WOW, I did that! I would also like to give a shout-out to the Branch manager - Julie Mensching for going above and beyond for all her candidates, you truly have a “Heart of Gold”! Also, to the 160 Harvey Yard managers and Instructors. Who, regardless of rain, sleet or snow kept us focused, warm and safe in below freezing temps this winter season of 2025. As a Veteran of the US Armed Forces, I salute you for not leaving any man/woman behind. You sat in the trenches with your troops, regardless of the conditions. I commend you all, for you are the epitome of what a truck driving school should be modeled by. In conclusion, 160 Driving Academy encouraged me to believe in myself once again and to understand the importance of staying studious and focused regardless of past misfortunes and/or circumstances. Thanks again for the opportunity to procure a moment in life filled with personal growth, career advancement and a chance to achieve life long happiness via on-the-road success. I want all of you to know that you have my deepest and sincerest gratitude. As for my 2025 Graduating class, 160 Grit Crew, 4-life! Sincerely Antonio Aguirre A/K/A “The Doctor” P.S. Additional Honors and Acknowledgments go to Ms. Ware -IDES of Burbank, Ms. Del Valle - American Job Centers at RJD Colleges and Uncle Sam - the U.S. Department of Labor for their WIOA Grant Program. Thanks for your collaborative efforts, putting me one step closer to securing a career in transportation.
