160 Palos Hills was the best decision I’ve made. Julie was awesome she answered all my questions, concerns and gave me the confidence I needed to get through the program and I did just that one & done!!!!!! For all the upcoming students study, follow instructions you’ll be fine.
It was a 10/10 instructors were helpful the branch manager was helpful basically everyone is very helpful i would recommend this school to get your license quick and easy
Great teaching, great help, great support. Julie is the lead teacher at the Palos hills location and she did everything to help everyone understand and learn at their own pace. She always offered extra help and would explain anything and everything if someone didn’t quite grasp the concept. She gives you the tools and knowledge you need to make sure you not only get your cdl, but are confident in it. The yard instructors guide you through each step and help build your confidence behind the wheel but for me it all started in the classroom understanding the basic to advanced details about driving a CMV and that’s all thanks to Julie at 160 in Palos Hills.
160 was great, Julie made sure she takes care of her students and supports and provides them with everything they need in order to obtain their CDL. She would reach out before test days and make sure you had any and all paperwork needed plus any checks to cover the costs at the dmv. Highly recommend this institute and highly recommend the Palos Hills location.
Thank you first and foremost to Julie! You are awesome! Julie helped me through the whole process of getting into the program and made the process stress free. She will be your biggest cheerleader to get you that CDL. She was great with communicating and giving me the information I needed to succeed. Was able to get my CDL as a one and done. 160 Driving Academy will give you the tools to succeed. You as the student need to apply yourself and want to learn and earn that CDL. The class room week will go over the basic knowledge and rules of the road. This will prepare you to take the permit test. Once you get to the yard you will learn how to operate the truck, driving, skills, and pre-trip inspections. This may seem overwhelming at first, but trust the process, study hard and often with the pre-trip. Pre-trip is something you can practice at anytime, whether at the yard or at home. Find something that can work for you to study. Use the yard time to focus on your driving and skills. When there is down time while you wait to get a turn at skills, study the out cab pre-inspection on a truck. Make use of your time there. The instructors are great and will help you to succeed, but they will not take you by the hand, you need to do the work and be applying yourself. And have confidence that you can do it.
I want to share how incredible my experience has been with 160 Driving Academy, especially with the team at Palos Hill. Outstanding team**: Julia, Shannon, Brian, Gerald, Henry, Mac, Will, Armont, Sahara, OG, Meni, Wilson, and the rest of the crew are truly the greatest assets. They consistently work without complaint, even in the yard on the coldest days when it’s snowing, raining, or windy. Student-first mindset**: They go above and beyond to help students reach their goals of obtaining a CDL. They’re supportive, patient, and dedicated to making the process as smooth as possible. Exceptional support at Palos Hill**: Mrs. Julia stands out for her willingness to enroll students, assist financially, and handle documentation. Her commitment is a big reason many students succeed. Team-wide dedication**: I’ve never seen a whole team work so cohesively and positively as the 160 family. Their teamwork and care make a huge difference. Personal milestone**: I proudly obtained my CDL today, and I owe it to this amazing team. I’m grateful for the guidance and encouragement I received. A bittersweet note**: I already miss the yard and the daily interactions with everyone, but I’m leaving with confidence and gratitude. If you’re considering CDL training, my experience says: go with 160 Driving Academy. They earn your trust through hard work, support, and real results. Thank you, 160 Driving Academy — I love you all and will carry these memories forward.
