Phenomenal Guidance!
I'm a Graduate from 160 Academy and my journey was and still continues to be successful because of the the guidance, techniques and dedication the instructors offer! Specifically Pedro and Mikey Z; they're extremely patient with all students and when mistakes are made they assure students it's okay to make mistakes (non-Dangerous mistakes lol) as long as we learn from it and correct ourselves and very uplifting when progress is noticed. 160 Academy has every intention to make sure you're filled with confidence to ensure success on the road! 2 Thumbs up for the Waukegan location 👍🏼👍🏼

One and done !
I recently earned my CDL at the Waukegan IL 160 Driving Academy! The title says it all. The training staff is beyond knowledgeable about all things related to driving a truck! Due to their knowledge and patience in training me, I was ‘one and done’ …of course that means I tested once on the 5 areas and passed ALL on my first attempt! I am really excited ! The trainers…Cesar, Mike, Dan, Pedro, and Mark couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable! Super nice, super friendly guys it was like being among friends. They got us ready to pass the IL test and taught us many things about real truck driving on the road everyday and how to always be thinking and preparing for the unexpected when you’re on the road. Best Trucking School for Job Seekers pivoting into New Career
I just completed the 160 Driving Academy program and passed my driving test today. My previous career was working in the technology sector as a Talent Acquisition Leader for 18 years, but was displaced during the Covid pandemic. I decided to make a career pivot into the growing market in the trucking industry and after researching schools, I chose 160 Academy. From the start, Amanda Corolla was able to quickly process me into the next open class and I found that the Testing preparation was thorough and the driving instruction was excellent. The instructors are all experienced Truck drivers who now teach. The Head Instructor, Ceasar, is a superb teacher and leader for the team. I personally had a slow start with shifting, but all the instructors (Mark, Pedro) took the time to get me squared away. They also fostered a supportive environment for women who were in the program, which made it easier for everyone who has an interest to join. All the instructors were focused on safety and doing things the "right way." I am already getting call backs from new applications on indeed , but will be getting together with Amanda to work with their placement program. If you are looking at a driving school, I strongly recommend 160 Driving Academy.
