Had a great experience at the 160 driving academy. Joe the class room teacher was a big help when I needed anything. The yard instructors were awesome and very helpful. Russel is great at teaching safety along with tony. Jennifer has a great way of teaching how to do a 90 turn. Also James was a big help on doing in-cab and pre trip. Parish helped me out on the road. Lawrence and Gerald were helpful with anything I needed to learn whether it was pre trip or learning driving maneuvers. Angel did awesome job at teaching me offset. TONY is awesome at teaching on the road. Luis was helpful with one on one time. Frank did a great job making sure everything was done properly in his yard! Loved the experience and thanks again!
If you show up and do the work you will get through just fine great people and environment some of the people who helped me out a lot were Lawrence, my main man tony, Jennifer, parish, James, Gerald, Russell and more all and all great school great time.
My training at 160 academy was one of the best experience of my life. I never been around a group of individuals who take great pride in their profession. Joe who I believe is the branch manager for 160 driving academy of Milwaukee was very professional and assisted me when ever there was an issue. Frank who is the lead instructor and yard manager made sure I was prepared every day for what ever tasks I was assigned. Lawrence was very tactical and practical in his approach with pre trips. Jerrold Durant is the best skills trainer in 160 driving academy. His passion to assist trainees through the difficulties each skill possess is truly remarkable. Each instructor brought forth incredible insight that I hope I can carry on into my new truck driving career. So thank you : James , Jessica, Russell, Patrick, Louise, Angel, Tony, Charlie, Lawrence, and Jerrold.
They have some really good teachers that will get you ready for the CDL test. They enjoy coffee and make it fun to learn new skills. James is a real pro who will show you how to put those tandems where you want them and has really cool suspenders
This was one of the toughest things that I have done but I wouldn’t have made it without all the help from all of the different instructors. They really put their time in with me because I struggled. The ones that helped me the most was Gerald, Russell, Tony and James. I appreciate all of them. Thanks y’all!!!
I took bits of knowledge from each the instructors at the Milwaukee location and was able to put it together into what worked best for me to pass the test for my CDL A. I admire the instructors for standing in some very cold weather while teaching. I will take much of their advice and input with me as I move on from here. Good school to attend, but it can be crowded at times, waiting for a turn to drive or work on a skill.
160 driving academy gets you prepared for the trucking industry. There hands on training is one for the ages, I believe it’s the HARVARD of trucking schools!
During my time at 160 Milwaukee , I believe I encountered some of the most knowledgeable and professional instructors in the trucking industry. All were extremely helpful. Every instructor has their own personal teaching style so it’s great for individuals who prefer certain learning techniques, rather it be Descriptive verbal instructions, visual instructions, or instruction with memory tips such as acronyms. Lawrence give great instruction in laymen terms, Jennifer taught me the in-cab inspection in 1 day(she’s that good), Parish is an absolute guru at the pre-trip inspection, Tony offers experienced knowledgeable tips for new behind the wheel drivers, Patti is great at finding your weak areas and helping you strengthen them, Russell has very clear concise and accurate instructions for completing your 90 degree and Offset parking skills, Gerald has techniques for any and every situation to help you operate correctly and efficiently. Blanks mixes personality with professionalism to bring a new dynamic to learning with her, Frank the Yard Lead is very understanding if you have to miss class, he also motivate us along the way. Joe the branch manager was always a phone call or text message away for any situation or question that arose. There are other instructors there but I rarely worked with them, and this is my honest review of 160 Milwaukee. 1-10 it was a 11! Great experience, Easy, and Fun. I recommend anyone in the Milwaukee area attend 160
Let me start by saying that most of the instructors AT THE MILWAUKEE yard are great, the ones that stand out are Tim Jason Patty and Jennifer, they all go out of their way to help their students gain the knowledge they need to be successful. They all made it a fun learning experience and I thank them all for that. The negative things at the milwaukee location are the yard "leads" ,Jack and frank, they spend 90% of the time in the instructor pack van, and even they do come out, it's not too help out, or give one of the instructors a break from the heat, it's to tell them they're not doing their job right, or to talk bad about some of the other instructors. They would talk bad about the instructors that were working hard, and say nothing about the ones sitting under the car port playing on the phone.. ot is very obvious in the yard that they make not only the students uneasy, but the ones that are working in the heat doing all the real work..
I want to thank Branch Manager Joe Suedeck at 160 Driving Academy in Milwaukee Wisconsin and all the instructors for all their Help and instruction of my Son Ken in getting his Class A Driving License. If you live in the Milwaukee area and want to get a Class A Driving License 160 Driving Academy is the place to go to. If I could I would rate them as 6 Stars I could. I just can't say enough good things about Joe and the 160 Driving Academy. Thank you for all you have done to help my Son to get his Class A
