Great support from staff

I passed through this program last week and to say the least it was the best school/ training experience I’ve ever had. My instructor Ed was very supportive and helpful through the whole process. Anytime I felt discouraged or anxious he would be there to give a helping hand and give the guidance I needed to progress. His instruction was clear comprehensive and thorough. I genuinely believe I wouldn’t have passed without him as my instructor. Great school and amazing people.

Excellent Trainer

Start by saying this was awesome! My instructor John from the Northampton college location in Monroe County really took his time to make sure that myself and all the other students where well informed. Like most people I was scared to death. He made us all feel comfortable and the amount of patience he showed for us all is commendable. This guy doesn't get paid enough in my opinion and deserves whatever everything coming his way and then some. I would recommend this school and most teachers (especially John) to all the future ODR drivers. He is no longer a teacher but a friend. Thanks for all the help 160 academy and John!

A Life-Changing Opportunity – Thank You 160 Driving Academy

After going through one of the most difficult times in my life, finding a new career path felt impossible. I had previously enjoyed a fulfilling career in law enforcement and later ran a medical transportation contract, but due to unfortunate circumstances, I had to move back to the area I grew up in. What followed was a nearly two-year-long battle with depression—a true test of my faith. During my time in medical transportation, I found myself driving in high-pressure and often intense conditions, transporting mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. That work gave me purpose again. It was a blessing to serve my community in that way, and I realized I had developed a real passion—not just for driving, but for driving with purpose. The responsibility, focus, and trust involved became something I embraced and honored. It became clear to me that this was more than just a job; it was a calling. As I began to heal and look ahead, I started researching commercial driving and was amazed at the opportunities available. That’s when I came across 160 Driving Academy – Monroe and began my journey. From the very first call, I was blessed to speak with Nicholas Fedio, Business Development Specialist. Nick has been a constant source of support throughout this entire process. From helping me navigate CareerLink, to guiding me through obtaining my CDL permit and Medical Examiner’s Certificate—he’s been there every step of the way. His encouragement helped me push through my anxiety and stay focused on the goal ahead. Now, as I prepare to start the driving portion of my training, I feel a renewed sense of excitement and purpose. I’m so grateful to 160 Driving Academy and especially to Nicholas for being a cornerstone in the community and helping individuals like myself rediscover purpose and opportunity. This is more than a CDL program—this is a new chapter, and I’m proud to say it starts here.

my experience at Monroe campus

I'm pretty sure all locations has great instructors but that might be an understatement compared to what I experienced at Monroe campus it always felt like home everyone was great not only did my instructor teach me the ropes in LESS than a week.. every instructor is always open to anyone asking questions trying to sharpen their skills ! I passed my test because I actually LEARNED how to drive these trucks along with other student who were with other instructors they improved so fast it was amazing and they'll always be considered family!

Amazing training!

I would like to extend my gratitude to my instructor, John for being top notch! He has the patience of a saint! I went into the training never touching a tractor trailer before and came out a professional driver! One and done! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to John! You believed in me even when I didn’t and was a nervous chatter box! Haha. I can’t stress this enough, he was meant to be a teacher. His knowledge is top notch. He was very professional and also had a way of making you feel as comfortable as possible. He instructed both my husband and I and we both were successful through our course. We will truly miss being in the tractor with him everyday! Thank you for helping me accomplish something I felt so unsure about!! You’re the best John!!!! I’m officially a professional driver!!! Woohoo!!🎉

Well let me start with the brach manager she explains everything in detail so your not set up for failure in a way your treated like family from the first day you walk in! Now let's get to the instructor Miss Liz wow she's is amazing and will have you well prepared for your exam and your permit test, she's very soft spoken but also means business at the same time holding you accountable! Don't wait and call today you can do it!
