I had a great experience at 160. It was an amazing learning environment. All instructors were very patient, and understanding, and had great communication with myself and the other students. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to get their CDL
When I first started at 160 driving school, I knew absolutely nothing. They gave me all the tools necessary in order for me to be prepared for CDL license test. I did my pre trip everyday, I did my in cab every day (thank you, Nancy). I worked hard on my maneuvers, with guidance from my favorite instructor, Ron. He helped me through so much. I would not have been able to succeed without him. My most fearful instructor, Dan, gave me so much anxiety BUT he will teach you to go above and beyond what you need to know so that you will not fail on your test and in the real world. Nancy helped instilled my pre trip in my head to the point that I was dreaming about properly mounted and secured, not bent, cracked or broken. I thank her for that. Teamwork makes the dream work and this team set me up for success, I got my test date and I passed on the first go round. One big thing about my maneuvers that I was taught: “it’s okay if you put yourself in a situation, just as long as you know how to get out of it.” I put myself in a situation on my test, and because of them, I knew how to get myself out of it. Thank you all for believing in me and getting me where I needed to be to be able to pass my test on the first try. Thank you Eddie, thank you Russell, thank you John, thank you Eric. Big thanks to Nancy who guided me in my first days and continued to work with me in helping me learn better ways in my maneuvers (my offset on my test was one of the best ones I did yet thanks to you teaching me how to USE my mirrors and find my cones!!!) I was so impressed with myself. Thank you Dan, for pounding in my head how important my mirror watch is for my lane control, especially around the curves (I killed it); no thanks to the anxiety.. jk lol. It helped, I think…. Big big thanks for Ron for being there for me through EVERYTHING! Huge thanks to Daniel for taking time and making sure I was prepared for my test. Eddie, you’re awesome. I appreciate you guys more than you’ll ever know for helping me succeed and giving me all the knowledge and the power and the support for me to be able to pass on my first try. Last but not least, thank you Stephanie for putting all this together for me and being so understanding! I greatly appreciate it and I look forward to all the future women truck drivers you guide in the right direction to be able to succeed on the road! Thank you for being so communicative with me! I love you all! I cannot thank you enough.
My experience at 160 Driving Academy was a very interesting journey... 1st day of Theory class with Mrs. Lori in Ohio. Her motto is never to leave a student behind! So i passed my classes and then on to do medical and to DMV to do me exam. Passed! Stephanie the Manager in Orlando set up my schedule for the 160 Driving Academy yard. Got to the yard introduce myself to Mr. Eddie and his instructors and I told them I'm here to obtain my CDL that was my Goal! Let me tell you some days I struggled with Pre-trip, In cab, Alley dock and the road but I was determined so I get pass my class. I got my CDL! Thanks to Amazon Career Choice, Thanks to my Family, Thanks to All my Instructors and All my Friends who supported me. G.O.A.L. CDL!!!! 🇧🇸🇺🇲
As with the title it is my review. From the time you sign up with this program that’s what you are going to get from all the staff. I’m not going to call names because they all work together like one well built machine. Very very professional and consistency runs throughout the whole program. I had the time of my life with great instructors lead by and unselfish leader that leads by example. The young lady that signed me up very professional and very knowledgeable. If you come to this program and apply yourself you will be a winner I promise you.
I highly recommend this school. Very educational and great hands on experience. I felt very prepared for the written and drivers test. Can't thank the instructor's enough for my advancement on my new endeavor.
The method and the great experience of the instructors make it easier to learn. But the discipline of each student will be the fundamental factor. Thank you 160 Driving Academy ORLANDO.
This was hands down the best decision I could’ve made. From the regional manager, Stephanie, down to all the instructors at the Yard, this was a blast up and down. I was a handful at first just because I had a lot of issues getting into the program and Stephanie showed me an undeserved amount of patience and empathy. Once I got in the yard, the instructors were all hard working and trying their best. You could tell they actually cared about this. Nancy was incredible and she’s really the queen of pre trip. Russell was the funniest man and really knew how to simplify it for us. He got us straight with the Lord! Ron always had a way to make you laugh. You got comfortable quickly when on the road with him. Reuben was very real and straightforward which made him a great teacher. He taught more from his experience driving than a book and it really helped me. His patience with me will never been forgotten. And Mr. Roy was the most personable. He was new when I started and it’s like he’s Been teaching for years. You can tell he’s proud when students finally get it. And Mr. Eddie was a stern man but only cause he cares. He’ll tell it to you straight up. He came in always shaking everyone’s hand. He has many students come and go but remembers everyone’s names. Overall, an incredible experience. If you’re going for your CDL, this is the school to go to. Thank you 160!!!
This is a great school to attend I highly recommend from when we first started in the classroom Stephanie was very helpful and cool with us in the classroom made sure we were up to date and understood everything. Then In the yard from our 1st day we were hands on and I like that I’m a hands on person, Eddie gonna let you know the 1st day he just not handing out cdl you gotta earn it lol and that’s something I respect ,and you’re gonna enjoy yourself while you’re learning they are not uptight it’s a lot you’re gonna have to absorb from day 1.And all the instructors were very cool and know what there doing out there so I would take notes from every instructor and listen they are not out there to make you fail, from Reuben who taught me his way of the alley dock and even offset once you in there you in there lol and he really gonna make sure you are know what you doing after you done with the yard and that’s where Russell come in he taught me a whole lotta getting straight with the lord, backing up and another way to do the alley dock I mixed his and Ruben techniques up which was very helpful. For the pre trip and in cab I’ll give that to the queen Nancy from first day she was on us with the pre trip and on cab and little ways to remember the parts to the trucking would say when not at school keep your head in that book lol . Also Daniel and Roy even ron all the instructors are good at teaching you hands on and are treating every student the same if you have a problem they would help you fix it. 160 taught us everything that was on the test and sum real life situations without them I wouldn’t have my cdl or know how to drive a truck. To sum it all up I really recommend 160 driving academy it’s a great school, hands on from day one , and good instructors who’s cool and you can relate to and they gonna help you get on the road with your cdl . Oh and don’t forget in the words of Eddie GOAL (get out and look ). Thank you 160
