Thank you 160!
160 Driving Academy is a great school. Getting my CDL wasn't easy, but I didn't give up. Thank you 160 for not giving up on me and giving me a chance to earning my CDL and starting a new career as a truck driver!
160 Instructors and Course Review
During my time at 160 Milwaukee , I believe I encountered some of the most knowledgeable and professional instructors in the trucking industry. All were extremely helpful. Every instructor has their own personal teaching style so it’s great for individuals who prefer certain learning techniques, rather it be Descriptive verbal instructions, visual instructions, or instruction with memory tips such as acronyms. Lawrence give great instruction in laymen terms, Jennifer taught me the in-cab inspection in 1 day(she’s that good), Parish is an absolute guru at the pre-trip inspection, Tony offers experienced knowledgeable tips for new behind the wheel drivers, Patti is great at finding your weak areas and helping you strengthen them, Russell has very clear concise and accurate instructions for completing your 90 degree and Offset parking skills, Gerald has techniques for any and every situation to help you operate correctly and efficiently. Blanks mixes personality with professionalism to bring a new dynamic to learning with her, Frank the Yard Lead is very understanding if you have to miss class, he also motivate us along the way. Joe the branch manager was always a phone call or text message away for any situation or question that arose. There are other instructors there but I rarely worked with them, and this is my honest review of 160 Milwaukee. 1-10 it was a 11! Great experience, Easy, and Fun. I recommend anyone in the Milwaukee area attend 160

Awesome school!!
So first off I can't select the location off the school I went to but I attended the Plant City, FL location and let me tell you I'm not blowing smoke or sugar coating this. That location and those 3 instructors were amazing Marc, Adrian and Steve you guys rock! They taught me well haha they had a well organized pretrip book to help you with seeing and knowing what the parts are and the verbiage they want you to use on test day that alone was super helpful with trying to memorize all the parts and things you need to do during pretrip all 3 instructors are awesome guys and super helpful they want you to succeed and they will help you with everything you need to know for test day I can't thank them enough. If you are truly wanting your CDL and you are willing to put in the work for it these guys and this school will definitely help you succeed I passed my Class A CDL test thanks to them and the hard work I put in with the constant studying. To 160 driving academy thank you for being a great school and to the Plant City location thank you very much guys yall helped me make my dream career come true
Mac is hands down the man @ 160
So at first when I came in I wasn’t too sure if I really wanted this because I had a serious family situation to occur in my first week. So Each day I wld come to school doubting myself. Then on week 2 I said to myself well you better give it your all now or quit. Mr. Dean wldn’t of let me quit if I had even tried to. Which Im thankful that he is there in the position he is. He keeps everyone on track from the students to the instructors. I was also thankful that he put me in Mac group. It’s something about a calm tone, patient person that calms me and grabs my full attention. That’s how Mac the instructor over the automatics is. I cld be in the truck nervous overthinking things and then next thing I know he would begin coaching me or who ever through what we needed to do. I went from being worried that I was messing up too much to each day starting to feel more and more confident. Honestly by week 3 i felt I was ready to be tested. Each day all I did was applied the steps that was given to me and all my maneuvers worked. I would go home and replay everything that Mac had said during training. The next day I would conquer it. I will say everyone learns different some of us may take a little more time or a different strategy. We had people from different parts of the world in our class and all of them appeared to be understanding and working well with Mac. And not to just call on my instructor whom I think is the best but I observed all the other instructors. I would trust my friends and family in the hands of any of them. 160 on 85th is where you want to be they’re a great team
Game Changer
Starting from the top, Renee! Thank you for so patient with the GI Bill process. Once on site, I was dazed and confused. But the instructors got me gathered, focused and confident to complete the task at hand. Jordan, Pierre, Karl, Emmit, Drew and my guy Randy, all very sharp and competent at what they do. Great crew of INSTRUCTORS!! Randy really reeled me in toward the end and gave me some great pointers. Thank you for the 1 on 1’s after each drive. I’ve been out of the military 6 years and have been enjoying my stagnant daily routine. Now I have my Class A CDL, “Game Changer!” Thanks a million guys, Monj B.
