Got my CDL
For the most part my experience with 160 has been good. I could have used a little more driving time leading up to testing. The instructors were amazing and know their stuff. I was able to ask questions, learn, and they worked with me to get my CDL. So grateful for everything.
Great School
I just graduated from the academy and overall it was a great experience. If you come in and practice the 160 hours is all it takes and you will pass first time. Big shoutout to Rasheed he is the standard instructor and was always there and helpful. He taught every student according to their style and always was willing to help. He’s an awesome part of the company and I would definitely recommend your school to others. Especially people who want to learn a manual transmission.
Good school cool people
I would recommend this school for anyone interested in better themselves career wise. Shout out to Tim Laurie Tony but screw Jim the grumpy instructor I swear this dude wakes up every day with a spiked stick up his crack

I love it this school care about you make it they take there rime with you to make sure you not only pas but you become a professional driver i would like to thank marlon , Phil, Mike , bob, and Andrew these guys are the best and i should know coming from roadmaster and not making it there 160 did not give up on me thanks guys

I attended 160 Driving Academies Springfield Il branch and had a blast the classes were fun and educational, and once you get to the yard it’s even more fun joking around with the instructors. P.S. driving a big truck is not as hard as you expect
The Best Instructors Around
I Came in knowing nothing about a Semi truck let alone how to use a clutch ..These instructors at 160 Are the Best Teachers To have entering the Trucking World. They will help you on your weakest points. They will guide you and Make SURE you Get your CDL. You gotta put the effort in also but with these instructors I Learned so much and learned how to Double clutch . i wanna thank all of yous at 160 For the help and guidance in reaching my Goal. Couldn't have done it without you guys.

Amazing. Agata was awesome. Anybody ever saw the movie “The Pursuit of Happyness” with Will Smith? When he walked out the office after he got the new job? That was me when I earned my CDL. Couldn’t thank 160 driving academy enough. Thanks
Great experience
160 Academy was a terrific experience for myself. I went into this school without any knowledge of truck driving. The classroom as well as the yard gave me all the knowledge I needed to secure my Class A CDL. Every trainer in the yard is great in their own way. If you are not comfortable with one simply ask to train with a different one. We all learn differently. As adults we should remember a teacher is only as good as the student. 160 academy will do everything in their power to make you successful, just remember to do your part as well no matter how stressful it can get.
