“This is my second review, I’ve successfully completed the program and obtained my CDLs. Overall I really enjoyed my time at 160, had its ups and downs but still rather enjoyable. When I first enrolled in the program I had a lot worries about my ability to grasp everything, given that I had previous experience going to a megacarriers program that I unsuccessfully completed. So I had little to no confidence that I would be able to get my license. I’m so happy that I was able to this time but I wouldn’t have been able to do it with the instructors at the Raleigh 160 especially Marty and Flo! Without them really taking the time to really help me with everything I don’t think I would have been able to do it whether it was learning how to maneuver the truck and trailer or even the pretrip. Regarding the pretrip I really gotta give it up to Marty, he really helped me out with that drilling just about every single component of that truck and trailer and especially the verbage. Despite everything that has went down at this location I was still able to learn everything I could from them and I really appreciate that. I will be giving it my all thanks to them in my new career as a truck driver, just got my first job with Roehl transport Inc that I’m about to leave for soon. In order to become a class A truck driver (a category that includes almost all tractor trailers), you’ll need to earn your Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). In order to receive CDL certification, you will have to pass the state exam.

For most students, CDL training is extremely affordable. 160 Driving Academy offers multiple support and financing options. We’re here to help you earn your CDL certification and achieve your goals.

160 will prepare you for your written exam with 40 hours of classroom instruction. You will also have 120 hours behind the wheel, driving on Local and Interstate roads and learning by observing other students.

We currently have locations in all regions of the country, allowing you to choose your nearest location and easily commute to class every day. We’re also in the process of expanding into new areas, so keep your eye out for a 160 Driving Academy schools coming to your city!
