“The instructors are great. You couldn't ask for any better people to learn from. Alot of knowledge & history they have in the trucking industry. But the equipment needs to be updated. For the past month I've been trying to get my cdl test in & passed & both test dates the trucks have been down. I was supposed to went March 17th and March 31st today. There needs to be another alternative when this happens. Maybe a rental truck on standby or even better, get better equipment. This is frustrating knowing I'm ready to take my cdl test & pass.”

With one instructor for every four students, we’re able to provide closer supervision and more personalized instruction than most other CDL schools. To make sure you’re prepared for the CDL certification with as little burden as possible, our truck driver class includes:

  • Comprehensive Training: Our courses cover 40 hours of classroom training as well as 120 hours of behind-the-wheel training so that you’re just as prepared for the written exam as you are for real-world driving scenarios.
  • Tuition Sponsorship: We’ve created partnerships with leading trucking companies to cover 100% of the tuition for qualifying students. You may be eligible if you’re at least 21 years old, are licensed to drive a car, and have no felony, drug, or DUI convictions within the last 10 years.

In order to become a class A truck driver (a category that includes almost all tractor trailers), you’ll need to earn your Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). In order to receive CDL certification, you will have to pass the state exam.

For most students, CDL training is extremely affordable. 160 Driving Academy offers multiple support and financing options. We’re here to help you earn your CDL certification and achieve your goals.

160 will prepare you for your written exam with 40 hours of classroom instruction. You will also have 120 hours behind the wheel, driving on Local and Interstate roads and learning by observing other students.

We currently have locations in all regions of the country, allowing you to choose your nearest location and easily commute to class every day. We’re also in the process of expanding into new areas, so keep your eye out for a 160 Driving Academy schools coming to your city!
