I cannot express how wonderful 160 academy is in its entirety. I was brand new to the field and one day said why not and I couldn’t be happier with being able to attend this academy. I love their staff at the office and the instructors at the yard, every single person there is super supportive and truly want you to succeed and will help you! I graduated and became a team driver with my brother for our current company and going strong to this day and definitely want to thank every single person at the academy for all the knowledge, confidence and skills and support to do what I am doing now! Seriously look no further 160 academy will not disappoint you!
School and training was a great way to get your CDL. They make sure you know your stuff. All the !60 employees take their time to get you to pass and get you ready for the road.
My Experience Was No Less Than Awesome, Dave, Jeff, Mark, Jim, Doc & Duck Made Sure I Received All Of The Information & Material I Needed To Successfully Finish The Program & I Am A Trucker Now & Can Not Wait To Start Driving!!
I had an absolute blast exploring the trucking world at 160. At the Crest Hill location, in particular, the instructors put forth their time and energy into ensuring I successfully obtained my CDL. They deserve a bump in pay! If you're going through various school websites right now trying to figure out which school would be best -- I would implore you to choose 160.
1-31-2020 160 Driving Academy Crest Hill, IL To whom it may concern; I recently graduated from the 160 Driving Academy and wanted to take a moment to let you know how pleased I was with your academy and its staff! Changing careers at my later stage in life is nerve racking, however, 160 Driving Academy gave me the confidence and assured me I could complete the task. From the very start, the girls in the Crest Hill, Illinois office were friendly and made sure I had everything I need for class and helped me set up my Hazmat appointment. My instructor, Jeff, was very informative and helped us get through a course that had a lot of information and at times seemed overwhelming. With his help I was able to get my CLP on the first try and went on to the 160 Driving Academy, Joliet field location where I met my instructors Mark, Jim and Doc. From day one, they gave us all the information we needed to pass our final exam. We studied every day with PRE-TRIP, MANEUVERS and DRIVING. They always had tractors for us to practice in to do pre-trip, which helped tremendously! They did not babysit us, but made time for us when needed and answered all our questions. They were there early and offered to stay late if we needed extra help. I can’t say enough about the staff at 160 Driving Academy! Finally, when it came time to take my final exam, myself and two of my classmates passed on the first try! Simply put, study, do what your instructors tell you, put in the effort and you will pass! I just recently passed my yard training and recieved my cdl's. I had great instructors. I just want give a special thanks to Lori, Duck & Jim for their time & patients. They are fantastic instructors & very understanding and detail oriented. So, thank you guys & lady (lol) for everything!!!!!
I recently graduated from 160 and meeting the instructor and new students was experience. classroom you learn a lot to prepared u for permit and entering the yard, learning skills, and road was exciting. instructor was professional & fun. Awesome Experience.... I couldn't praise this school enough!! Everyone there was a top notch professional and enjoyed what they were doing. I learned many new things everyday, about being a professional truck driver and being safe. I will HIGHLY recommend 160 to anyone who wants to learn from the BEST.
