I had a great time while at 160 Academy i learned so much and all of the instructors are the best they really worked with me and made sure I felt comfortable with my maneuvers and even on test day made me feel even more confident to test out. Thanks 160 Academy Memphis!

It’s a great school for someone who is trying to acquire their CDL. The yard instructors are great, the only complaints I have about 160 Driving Academy would be the equipment and the yard itself. During my time training we had several trucks breakdown which would make it difficult to get some training for the day or week. And the yard needs some help too. The yard is worn out gravel/mud mess. Dry days it would be very dusty making it harmful for breathing, on wet days it’s very muddy. The mud would decrease our safety with these big vehicles that could slide in wrong directions or get stuck while practicing. Overall, the training aspect from the teacher in the classroom and instructors on the yard were great! The yard just needs some TLC…

I Would like to give a big shout out to the instructors and managers. I never met a group of people that pushed me to my best potential ! Even though they had to work with broken trucks and a messed up yard , they still made sure they taught us everything and made sure you was ready before sending you out to test. They even believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself , I’m glad they pushed me to my best ! Great school to attend. 💯💪🏽

My experience felt family oriented. The instructors are personal on all aspects and are very good at their jobs. I came in with an open mind and I am grateful I did. My expectations were different from my experience, but then again I had no idea of what to expect. My best advice is if at first it doesn’t seem fit for you, trust the process because it will turn around.

First, let me say that my experience was great. I looked at my 3 weeks at the yard as a boot camp for driving. One week is at a class room to prepare you for the permit test. Advise is don’t have frail skin or feelings that are easily upset. There’s a lot of info in a short time span. Students are encouraged to talk and help each other out. Instructors are wanting you to pass so listen and ask questions. Look at it as a job, and you’ll do fine. I think the Memphis yard is working on getting more trucks and a paved yard, but don’t use it as an excuse.

160 driving academy was very knowledgeable the instructors was passionate about getting you through this course and learning the maneuvers as well as being knowledgeable about your pre-trip. The 160 instructors in Memphis works with the equipment/trucks they was given and if you can operate and maneuver in them trucks you can pretty much drive anything lol. I would like to say thank you to 160 for helping me accomplish my goal in receiving my CDL’s today was my graduation day.
