Welcome to a new World
From the first contact with Sara at the classroom / office to my final contact with Ms. T out in her yard, I met people who were interested in my success. They loved what they are doing, and arevery patient with the clueless (me). Sara, Ms T, Anthony, Lamont, and James, you got my foot in the door. Within 3 weeks after I held my Class-A CDL in my hand, I am driving over the road for Witte Brothers Exchange. Notably am I driving for them, but my 4 week "training" with Witte has been in a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia, with 26,000 miles on it, when I first sat behind the wheel. My company trainer has taught me about living in the truck for a week or so at a time, and the "advanced basics". Professional,and superior training
I have graduated 160 academy,and I can say that while in the class room Sarah the classroom instructor was very professional and most helpful with any questions,she presents a very positive atmosphere for classmates and makes it very easy to be in the class,,THANK YOU SO MUCH SARAH!!WHEN I ARRIVED TO THE YARD WEEK 2,Mrs t lead yard instructor was very clear on rules and specifics I couldn't ask for a more professional instructor to help me successfully get thru the course with 160,, Mrs T absolutely without a doubt wants to see you successful and her knowledge and help is more then you could possibly ask for,I hope to see both Sarah and Mrs T them getting a raise and great praise in all the hard work they give to help everyone get thru 160 academy,, professional representatives of 160 academy and thankful I had the opportunity to meet them,,!!!!!!thank you 160 academy and thank you to Sarah Mrs T and other instructors for helping me successfully get thru the courses!!!

I really enjoyed the short time I was at 160. Anthony taught me some good skills and gave me some good knowledge about the trucking industry. I also appreciate Sara in the office and other yard instructors

Ready for the Road
Overall, I’d say that I had a very pleasant experience. Every staff member that I encountered was extremely helpful and supportive when it came to my learning process. In the areas where I had struggles, the staff structured my next day for what my individual needs were. Because of their efforts I am now a CDL holder thanks. Sara was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Seriously, any and all things that I needed office related. I’d also like to mention Anthony, because of his training I am very confident in my skills behind the wheel of a manual. He shows great patience in the way he teaches. His sense of humor makes the pressure and stress of learning this large vehicle less daunting. He has a safety first mind set and I believe his favorite sentence is “ Don’t cross that Line!” For anyone interested in obtaining their CDL in the area 160 Driving Academy should be your first choice!

Through 160 driving academy here in STL I was able to get my CDL. Sarah (the office manager) helped me through any questions and concerns I might have had going through this process. She also keeped me updated on anything I needed to get done to move forward. The yard manager Mrs.T and other instructors Glynn, Frank, and Anthony were very helpful in teaching me the skills I needed in order to pass my exam and teach me what to expect over the road.

I made it!
Sara was a great help and was there for me when I had a conflict setting up my test dates. I had some struggles at the beginning, but by the time I got to the third week and grouped with a specific trainer, it got so much easier. Me and three coworkers were sent as a group with this trainer, and he made it so easy to understand what we needed to know and how to execute the maneuvers. We learned so much working with him, and I'm so grateful.

My experience was great ….. the instructors were great and very helpful Sarah and Jessica didn’t a great job in the classroom very understanding Chris head instructor Ms T nick and Dave was great also I will gladly recommend 160 Academy to everyone I know
