My time at 160
I would have gave 160 5 stars if it wasn’t for the lady in the office , I she gave minimal information and would start the online class and leave . Then once I passed she gave me my certificate and transcripts and said good luck no “ one and done photo “ nothing . Now on to the Instructors , First let me say go into this process with an open mind and a clear head you will be with a mix of society. Roger the lead instructor at Huntington is strict but fair and will teach you the finer more skilled portions of preparing for your test . John was a more calm and gentler instructor that is perfect for the first time on the yard or if you are struggling he is a wealth of knowledge. Together they complement each other and come together so if you follow their instructions you will definitely be a one and done ! My time on the yard was amazing I made some great friends had some wonderful laughs and learned a lot . If you are wanting to become a class A driver do not hesitate to come to Huntington. I will miss everyone there and cherish the memories that were made . Thank you all for the amazing experience..
"One and done"
I have an CDL A (manual) license. First attempt with DMV examiner!!! I was prepared for the written exam for the permit through convenient virtual classroom with Kona, then out on the range with the instructors for pretrip, airbrake, skills, and road operation. Special shout-out for Blair. He wants us to win!
Excellent Experience
What an excellent driving academy! Roger and John we the best instructors and teachers! I passed my test "one and done". I couldn't have done it without them!!! I would highly recommend 160 Driving Academy for your CDL.

It was a great class with great teacher I love everything about my teachers they work with you and make sure you know wht your doing before puttin you on the road. I would recommend this class for everybody to take and I also had a good time there with other students studying helping each other with the studying.

One-and-done club!
From the classroom to the training yard, all the instructors provided me with the tools I needed to pass my driving test and obtain my commercial driver’s license for a manual transmission on my first attempt at the DMV. Thank you to the Barstow location! I want to give a shoutout to Z and J.
Great People & Great Program
My overall experience was great. At Joliet they want to see you succeed. From Steve keeping everyone organized to Rich preparing you for testing and being there every step of the way. Then Al teaching you skills in the yard with lots of laughs & good times along the way. With Andre & Keith teaching you how to drive with plenty of good laughs. To Marsha walking you through the classroom process answering any questions you need answered. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to get a cdl no matter what experience you have or don’t have definitely go through 160 at Joliet.
A Great and Worthwhile Experience
My time at this academy was well spent! This is definitely one of those careers that requires lots of attention to detail and safety which is impressed early on in training. You get what you put into it! The trainers are honest and realistic about the work and what is needed to be successful which I really appreciated. They have a lot of students coming through and do the best they can with a growing academy. Despite the influx of so many, they work extra to make sure you have the tools you need to get your CDL. I really appreciate all the help I received towards attaining my goal at a new career and life!

First I have to say thanks to my instructors Mark, Russell, and Brian. Although I was assigned to Brian I was able to get gems from all three instructors in order to get a one and done. Also have to give a shout out to Miss Ariel who's awesome all the way through the program. I watched others at the testing facility and I feel I was well prepared by 160 Driving Academy staff for success.
