Good training from Shawn
During class Shawn is very patient attentive and gives good instructions and explanations of how to improve in areas you are having difficulty understanding. Thus far he has taken me step by step as well as the other students he has been a very positive and helpful instructor and it is now my responsibility to utilize what he has taught me, and pass my skills and road tests, he has given me confidence in my abilities as well as myself throughout my training. Great instructor and will help in anyway possible to make you feel comfortable and at ease in learning everything you need to know and understand. A great in experience learning.

I will never recommended this school after getting laid off, your ethics and policies need to change in a big way, your equipment is junk and when leads need to jump through hoops to get anything fixed and have deal with people who have never seen the inside of a semi and have no clue to DOT Regulations is quite pathetic. I will never recommended 160 Driving Academy and your instructor are taken advantage off by your corporate kiss buts.
160 Driving Academy
From the very beginning, signing up with Sam to the yard dealing with nick and bob. Annett was also great. Very professional and respectful people. Love their jobs and are willing to help you however you need it. Sam and Annett are very nice people and will help you out whenever you ask, They are on it with quick responses. On the yard, very calm and respectful. Nick and Bob are amazing teachers that have patience. They are willing to help, even when it’s outside of school they are very understanding ( in my case I injured my knee) professional, respectful and love teaching others is what your getting at 160 yard in Sacramento and 160 all together. I own my own hauling business and I recommend this school to anyone that wants to learn.

Staff was extremely helpful in accommodating my timeline to complete this training. I felt that each staff member I worked with made it their personal goal to help me toward success. Great school and I would highly recommend.
Best experience ever
I can’t say enough about 160 Pompano Beach. I was nervous going there the first day but within a matter of minutes I realized what a good choice I had made, the entire staff is absolutely amazing. I had some trouble at first thinking that it was a lot to learn in a short time but the instructors told me to just put some effort into it and it would pay off and it did. The location is clean and well kept, the course is structured and well organized. I was by far one of the best experiences of my life. After the last day of school I was scheduled to take my CDL exam in 10 days and went to the testing site and killed it on the first try, I left there and went to the DMV the next day and got a hard copy of my license, what a good feeling to hold that license in my hand. Thank you 160 driving academy.
Drive 160 Tacoma
I took my cdl course at Tacoma, Washington and I just passed my CDL course and exams, and I couldn’t be more grateful to Drive 160 Academy and my amazing instructor, Sue! Sue has truly been a game changer — her guidance, patience, and dedication made all the difference. She understands every student’s unique challenges and works with so much care and encouragement. She not only teaches you how to drive but also makes learning fun and builds your confidence every step of the way. Thank you, Sue, for your wonderful support and for believing in your students. And a big thank you to Drive 160 Academy for providing such a great learning environment and opportunity. I highly recommend this school to anyone serious about getting their CDL — you’ll be in the best hands! And one last thing for Sue. We need that sign for ONE & DONE or JUST GOT MY CDL 😁
Driving
The experience was great. Always wanted to drive a truck since I was little. Called talked to Lillian. Told me what I had to do. Had an awesome teacher Dan Goul. Showed me everything I need to know. Helped me out with the manual truck. Now thanks to dan i got a job over the road.
Go big or go home
It was like an exciting roller coaster ride, up and down but mostly up, the instructors were amazing they were all very knowledgeable and very helpful. Each instructor had their own style of teaching and made it very clear that their goal was to get you to know how to manage and control that truck in the most safe way! I highly recommend this school to whoever is interested in getting their CDL in the most proficient way!!! Big ups to Archie, Chino, Edgar, Petia, Trifon, Joel and Marta!!!!
Fastest to get it One & Done!
From day one I knew this was the school to help me achieve my goals! The rep Victoria R. was instrumental in allowing me to stay focused on each step. Answered all questions and ensured I had everything I needed to continue. Dave “Rolling Thunder” Turner was my classroom instructor, with his help I was able to pass all three tests and get permitted within the first week. He was very personable and had the patients but pace that I loved to learn from. Zovan J. was my Yard head instructor who thanks to his no nonsense but encouraging demeanor I was able to stay on track and catch on very quickly. The other instructors Dominic and Jason Fleming were top tier! Thanks to their hands on and direct teachings ”blue print” I was able to build with safety, competence, and over all a balanced set of skills. Dom gave me the space and confidence to learn from my errors and quickly adjust, where Jay added the right amount of pressure to push me past my own expectations in remarkable time. Lead Instructor Lora Gates worked magic for me on test day when the DMV had fumbled, she was able to get everything cleared and got me testing only minutes later. Thanks to 160 Drive Academy I now have my Class A CDL with no manual restriction and full endorsements - T H N X. Thank you all for the help you give and the lives you change!
