As a newly CDL holder, I can attest the 160-Driving Academy in Houston, TX. is a great school to start your trucking adventure; I received quality training and did pass all my test with confidence. My wife and I both went through the course to team drive as our second careers. Darron and Lance ensured my wife and I got a first-time go on the pre-trip and maneuvers (Thanks Guys!); the test at DMV is rough and not for the lazy studier or the unmotivated. Jerry was amazing getting us to learn to shift in under 3 weeks; I didn’t think it would’ve happened! A shout out to Anthony for taking us out for our first time and not losing it. 160 has experienced and patient instructors; study and let them fine tune your skills and you will graduate on time. The Ultimate Academy for Obtaining a CDL
I had an absolute blast exploring the trucking world at 160. At the Crest Hill location, in particular, the instructors put forth their time and energy into ensuring I successfully obtained my CDL. They deserve a bump in pay! If you're going through various school websites right now trying to figure out which school would be best -- I would implore you to choose 160.
