One-and-done club!
From the classroom to the training yard, all the instructors provided me with the tools I needed to pass my driving test and obtain my commercial driver’s license for a manual transmission on my first attempt at the DMV. Thank you to the Barstow location! I want to give a shoutout to Z and J.
Great People & Great Program
My overall experience was great. At Joliet they want to see you succeed. From Steve keeping everyone organized to Rich preparing you for testing and being there every step of the way. Then Al teaching you skills in the yard with lots of laughs & good times along the way. With Andre & Keith teaching you how to drive with plenty of good laughs. To Marsha walking you through the classroom process answering any questions you need answered. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to get a cdl no matter what experience you have or don’t have definitely go through 160 at Joliet.
A Great and Worthwhile Experience
My time at this academy was well spent! This is definitely one of those careers that requires lots of attention to detail and safety which is impressed early on in training. You get what you put into it! The trainers are honest and realistic about the work and what is needed to be successful which I really appreciated. They have a lot of students coming through and do the best they can with a growing academy. Despite the influx of so many, they work extra to make sure you have the tools you need to get your CDL. I really appreciate all the help I received towards attaining my goal at a new career and life!

First I have to say thanks to my instructors Mark, Russell, and Brian. Although I was assigned to Brian I was able to get gems from all three instructors in order to get a one and done. Also have to give a shout out to Miss Ariel who's awesome all the way through the program. I watched others at the testing facility and I feel I was well prepared by 160 Driving Academy staff for success.

I recommend 160 Driving Academy to all individuals seeking to get their CDL. I had a great experience at Stockton 160 with the amazing instructors! Thanks to Mike, that taught me to drive, Rick that taught me skills, pre-trip and air brakes and Blair for putting it all together for me and giving me the confidence and knowledge to pass my DMV exam. I’m part of the “One & Done” club! Got my license 2/6/25 thank you 160!
Excellent experience
The instructors and the staff at this location really care about their students. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re ready not just for your state exam but your trucking career as a whole. Just pay attention to what they’re telling you and put in the effort and you’ll be fine.
