Why Become a CDL Instructor?

Trade Miles on the Road for Meaningful Miles Ahead.

After years behind the wheel, you know there’s a lot more to professional driving than what’s written in a textbook.

Our students benefit from instructors who have been there.

You understand the importance of inspections. You know what it takes to maneuver a commercial vehicle safely. You understand the responsibility that comes with sharing the road. And you know the lessons that can only come from real driving experience.

At 160, you can turn that experience into someone else’s opportunity.

More Time at Home

Ready to leave long-haul driving behind? Instructor positions allow experienced drivers to continue working within the trucking industry without spending weeks away from home.

Put Your Experience to Work

The skills you developed throughout your driving career have tremendous value. Share that knowledge with students preparing to enter the industry.

Help Change Someone’s Life

For many students, earning a CDL represents more than earning a license. It can be a path toward greater financial opportunity, independence and a career they can build on.

You get to help them take that first step.

Help Make Our Roads Safer

Great professional drivers start with great training. By teaching students proper safety practices, equipment knowledge and responsible driving habits, instructors help strengthen the industry for everyone.

Find Purpose After the Road

Instructor opportunities can also be a great next chapter for experienced or recently retired CDL drivers who want to stay active in the industry while doing work that matters.
